I take the Integrated Flight Deck Programme. I’ve already finished three phases of flying and at the moment I’m doing ground school, though I can’t wait to get back to flying. Whilst looking for a flight school, I was looking for a good fleet of training aircraft and most importantly to me: professional flight instructors. And I was not disappointed!

I really enjoyed the course; it was really exciting and challenging, especially the ATPL ground school and IR course. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the instructors, they were very helpful and supported me from the first day of training. I think completing all my training in the UK gave me an edge at simulator and interview sessions. It was great practice, given the busy airspace and UK weather conditions, especially during IR training and it helped me with R/T element.

As a modular student, you can sometimes feel as if the training or attention from a flying school would be lessened by the non commitment of years of training, but this is as far from the case with Flying Time.

I began my flight training with a local flying club at Shoreham Airport in my mid teens when I wanted to fly more for enjoyment than for a career. The club were great to fly with, but the training and approach from the instructors seemed rather limited and not well suited for those looking to make flying their future career. I therefore looked around the airfield and decided to change to the constantly talked about and praised FTA – my only regret having not begun sooner.

Having restarted my PPL training at the very beginning of April, I had passed my skills test first time by the middle of June – all thanks to their fantastic support network, availability of aircraft and instructor/student ratios. Although FTA prefer to train on their very modern fleet of glass cockpit equipped DA40’s and 42’s, they still fly the trusty PA28’s for those students wanting to experience the handling of these classic aircraft. Again, I chose this option knowing that if I wanted to convert flying onto the more sophisticated aircraft, I could do this at anytime with the level of training I was taught. FTA’s instructors have the friendliest and most approachable personalities of any club or school I have been to and visited, as do the operations staff and even examiners.

I am most looking forward to my commercial training with FTA, as I feel that whilst training for my PPL, I was taught the standards required to separate me from crowd of pilots applying for a single job. Thank you in particular to Alex, Sam and all of the Ops staff for your support and advise whenever it was required. I feel that you have trained me to become a better pilot and are always there to answer any questions I had, no matter how foolish I thought they may be!

After having completed my CPL I joined Flying Time Aviation to commence my ME-IR on the DA42. It’s been by far the best aircraft I’ve flown with the utmost enjoyment received and FTA made the experience worth while.
From the moment I joined up until the point where I completed everything, I was given great service and got all the help I needed in completing my ATPL. It wasn’t an easy ride, your expected to work very hard but the outcome is very rewarding.
I found the staff to be very welcoming and even more I was able to adapt to a friendly environment easily and fell apart of the team instantly. FTA Will provide you with the skill and in depth knowledge to get you moving in the right direction to become a better aviator.
Having had the experience in the Far East with an airliner I have moved on to fly in the European and Middle Eastern part of the world working for Turkish Airlines.

I completed a structured hour building package of 100 hours and then the CPL and IR at FTA. The fleet of DA40 and DA42 aircraft are modern and well maintained and whilst hour building, the excellent booking system allowed me the flexibility to book aircraft around my working hours. I did the CPL and IR on a full time basis and was extremely impressed by the professional approach of all the staff at FTA. Training Captains at my airline have commented favourably on the instrument flying skills I acquired during my time at FTA. It’s not just a flying course, but an airline preparation course that has furnished me with all that I need for the career ahead. Very highly recommended.

With FTA, I learnt how to stay one step ahead of the aircraft and the rule of ANR: Aviate; Navigate, and Communicate and I believe that these skills will prove vital to my career. FTA helped me manage my time efficiently when coping with the amount of information and training. Upon leaving FTA, I have now secured a position as a First Officer at Ryanair.

FTA has a really modern fleet and allowed me to train on a modern aircraft, something I’ve always been interested in. The instructors are supportive and helpful – I managed to cope with my nerves and pass all my tests. FTA gives high quality training and gave me the skills I need to become a commercial pilot and also helped me land a job at Ryanair. I now have the chance to follow my dream of becoming a Pilot.

Started at the school in 2014 with the multi-engine CPL and IR. I chose FTA because they offered the same training on much more modern aircraft than some of the other schools at a more competitive price. The aircraft were excellent and made the flying easier. I had mainly 2 instructors who were great. Everybody at the school was very friendly but were always professional. The south coast is a really nice place to fly around and working around London’s airspace was a good challenge as well. I would highly recommend this school for any training.

After starting my modular training at another school I was unhappy with it for several reasons. I started to look around online and came across FTA and scheduled a visit. I was initially attracted by the modern Diamond G1000 fleet and the competitive price over similar schools. I started my CPL/IR late 2013 and had first time passes in both by April. My instructor made me feel at ease throughout and guided me through the whole process. The training was extremely professional but with a friendly approach which as a student I found a great learning environment.
    Highly recommended

My experience of FTA was just as I’d hoped. The training staff were very open and professional. My instructors demanded very high standards, but they always gave the proper training and techniques to ensure that the simulator or flying sortie was completed with maximum learning and the best outcome. I was mostly with one instructor, which kept my training very standard. However, when I did fly with other instructors, I found the training standards very similar – and that made transitioning easy. The aircraft were also well-equipped and fun to fly.

I now fly for easyjet in a first officer position.

I looked around the various flight school options, at the different aircrafts, course types, and obviously the price, and it was a fairly easy decision. FTA suited me best. They have a great array of aircraft, Brighton City Airport is in a great location, and the staff are all friendly – and don’t forget the cost (its the best value I found).

I have completed my course at FTA and now work as a First Officer at Ryanair.

After a tough start to my pilot training, I found FTA and they helped me out. My first flying went bust after a month of ground school, they got me back on track and on a course a month later. I progressed through the course with a great pass average and then first time passes in my MECPL and MEIR. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at FTA and I’m very grateful for the time and effort they gave me to get me to where I am now. I am very fortunate to have one of the best first officer jobs with a well known UK scheduled/charter airline (Monarch Airlines) flying the Airbus A320/1.

A modern, professional and diametrical organization. Incorporating friendly staff, who are equally able to portray excellent obedience to safety and providing a no nonsense approach flight training. Not only is their incredible value in comparison to other integrated courses alike something to shout about, but their standards of tuition are certainly synchronized to that found in the biggest schools currently on the market.
